Please join us for an inspiring evening as expert panelists from the intellectual property field share their experiences advancing and protecting new technology in academic and industry settings.

Our special guest panelists include:

Dr. Tamera (Tammy) Weisser is a partner at Jones Day and co-leader of their global patent prosecution group. With over 15 years of experience in global patent portfolio development, management, and enforcement in biotechnology, she has managed the patent portfolios of numerous pharmaceutical companies. Her practice also performs patent validity analyses and conducts due diligence of patent portfolios for clients including potential investors, acquirers, and licensees, such as venture capital firms and biotechnology companies.

Kamala Janiyani is a patent specialist who has organized numerous scientific and intellectual property symposia for UC San Diego. She has experience in technology evaluation for out licensing and specializes in conducting prior art searches, competitive analysis and market research.
